MEDScholar was founded by Dr. David Klein, MD, CCFP, in 2015 with the aim of assisting International Medical Graduates (IMGs) obtain their Medical Practice Licenses in Canada and the US. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to include: Basic Science & Evidence-Based Clinical Medicine Instruction, Licensing exam preparation and didactics (MCAT, MCCQE1/2, NAC-OSCE, CCFP, USMLE 1/2/3), International Medical Licensing consulting & mentorship, Medical School Applications and Interview Services (Domestic/International), Residency Applications and Interview Services (CaRMS/ERAS), Education psychometrics and
Clinical Elective placements.
About the Director
Dr. Klein is a clinical instructor in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and a practicing Family Physician/GP Psychotherapist specializing in adult & geriatric mental health and integrative ambulatory care. He is also an official MCC/NAC Licensing Exam author / content developer and has served as an MCC/NAC examiner / invigilator as well as an admissions panelist/committee member for various Canadian undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs.
Dr. Klein has been involved in medical education at the undergraduate level for twelve years and at the postgraduate level since 2012. Over the last two decades, he has been exposed to various academic practices within a range of disciplines throughout North America, Europe, Japan and South Africa—both, as an educator and a learner. He has lectured in the public and private sector and taught a broad range of subjects to culturally diverse students (ranging from the elementary school level to PhD candidates). The experiences have provided him with an adaptable range of teaching skills and resources to mentor students with special learning requirements, one-on-one, run small tutorial groups, lecture in undergraduate settings or engage professional audiences numbering in the hundreds.
